Overview

Orenda Winery is new – it just opened in June, 2019. Orenda means “The Balance of Energy between all things”. The Winery specializes in high elevation fruit aged for two years in small French oak barrels. Orenda specializes in complex, subtle and dynamic flavors reminiscent of an old-world style rarely found in Washington wines. It has a wine club, tasting room, great wines, and in addition bee hives. Orenda is also a beautiful venue for hosting events such as weddings.
The Wines
Orenda partners with some of the highest elevation vineyards in Washington State for their grapes. This provides a cool climate with late ripening fruit. Since the grapes have more time to mature, the wine is more subtle than that made with grapes from warmer areas. Old world style flavors result when the wine is aged in French oak barrels.
Current wines include a 2016 Cabernet Franc (awarded Double Gold by the Seattle Wine Awards 2019), a 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016 Balance, 2016 Merlot, 2018 Reisling, and a 2018 Sauvignon Blanc.
Check the Orenda Winery website for the latest information on their wines and events.
