About

Tollgate Farm is a historic 410-acre farm and open space property that is owned by the city of North Bend.  Si View Metro Parks operates it.  The farm preserves important agriculture, wildlife, open space, archaeological, and historical resources. Also, the unobstructed views of Mount Si and the Cascade Mountains make the agriculture pasture a local and regional icon.  Amenities of the historical farm now a park includes hiking and bicycle trails, picnic tables, playground facilities, and restrooms.  Also, the park encompasses open grass fields that surround the picnic area.

There is a 0.5 mile loop trail closest to the playground near the parking lot.  The loop around the pasture is 0.8 miles.  You may see elk as well as cows depending on the season.  In 2019, the connector trail from the Snoqualmie Valley Trail (SVT) to Tollgate Farm was just completed.  The trail meanders through an inviting lush pasture that leads to a new boardwalk over a wetland habitat area, underneath SR 202, then leads to a ramp that climbs up to the SVT.  Now, walking field trips from local schools may access Tollgate Farm Park.

The farmhouse at Tollgate is of 1890s vintage.  A grant from the King County Saving Landmarks program resulted in restoring the Tollgate Farmhouse exterior.  Exterior restoration completed in 2017.  Now the interior is going to be remodeled into a community space and showcase the home’s historical elements.
